EXPLORE OUR

Music Curriculum

At Cranberry, we aim for a high-quality music curriculum which should inspire in pupils’ curiosity, enjoyment, and a love of music. We that music is a powerful tool for the development of good mental health. We want children to develop musical skills such as listening to and analysing pieces; selecting and playing instruments with sensitivity and increased control; composing and performing increasingly more complex pieces individually and as part of a group. We want children to enjoy and love learning about music and wonder about music from the world around them by the appreciation of current and historical composers from a variety of genres.

CELEBRATING

Music and Performance

At Cranberry Academy, we are proud of our vibrant music provision. Our children learn a wide range of musical instruments, with Year 5 enjoying the exciting opportunity to learn the ukulele. We also nurture a love of singing through our school choir, who take part in the inspiring Young Voices experience each year. From celebrating individual musical talents to putting on wonderful performances for our school community, music is truly at the heart of life at Cranberry Academy.
